Ce navire a une histoire incroyable, construit par les allemands en 1939 en tant que cargo, il est revers\u00e9 \u00e0 la Kriegsmarine, captur\u00e9 intact \u00e0 la fin de la guerre il devient prise de guerre pour la marine nationale en pleine reconstruction. Il sert ensuite de transport de troupes et relie les diff\u00e9rents colonies fran\u00e7aises de l&rsquo;\u00e9poque comme l&rsquo;Indochine et l&rsquo;Afrique noire o\u00f9 \u00e0 une occasion il rapatrie 400 tonnes d&rsquo;or du S\u00e9n\u00e9gal. En 1958 il est profond\u00e9ment transform\u00e9 pour servir de plateforme d&rsquo;essais de missiles et il sert ainsi jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 son retrait du service en 2002 apr\u00e8s 63 ann\u00e9es de bons et loyaux services.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hoarau.org\/marine\/images\/ile-oleron\/Olivier_Hoarau_messine.jpg?resize=474%2C324\" alt=\"\" width=\"474\" height=\"324\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dans une autre vie, j&rsquo;ai pass\u00e9 une ann\u00e9e \u00e0 bord, j&rsquo;\u00e9tais bouchon gras comme les marins aiment \u00e0 appeler les m\u00e9canos. Contrairement \u00e0 sa r\u00e9putation de bateau qui navigue \u00e0 la journ\u00e9e, cette ann\u00e9e d&#8217;embarquement a \u00e9t\u00e9 riche en jour de mer au point que j&rsquo;ai pu \u00eatre l\u00e2ch\u00e9 chef de quart \u00e0 la machine.
